I love the perfect country full of desert and mountain wilderness - Oman! I had visited many places of it, but one was completely new in meaning of experience!
I did a Big Snake Canyon! It was extremely new activity for me! We went with a group of ~10 people of different nationalities. We stopped overnight at camping spot next to canyon entrance and next day at 10 am we started our canyoning! Mountains there is very high, and sun comes inside only for an hour, so we had a time of 2.5 hours to finish. It was fall season and water was very "fresh", but once you there, in canyon, there is no way back, because it is cascade of pools, each one is on level down. Beautiful transparent water and patterned stone-walls with a white lines on black background. Really impressive! In the end of adventure we went out through the cave with stalactites and stalagmites. Perfect finish. Middle of the day. You exit canyon in the small mountain village, with beautiful green farm and authentic arabic architecture!
