Hello there! My name's Katie. I am a recent graduate of SUNY New Paltz in New York. I studied Sociology with a concentration in Human Services as well as Women's Studies.

I am a friendly, down to earth person looking to meet new friends in all parts of the world. I am new at traveling but open to any and all experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a friend for 3 days while abroad in Thailand. I have also surfed while in the USA and SE Asia with a couple people.

I am a huge music fan!! I love acoustic guitar and singing as well. Big fan of indie folk and alternative. I am a big stand up comedy fan as well and would love to share my favorite clips with you! (Louis CK for the win.) I thoroughly enjoy watching movies and reading when I have the time. Favorite movie would have to be A Beautiful Mind and favorite book, The Kite Runner.

Visited the tiny rural village of Mae Salong in the hills of northern Thailand. I was in awe of the sheer beauty of this community tucked away in the mountains. The Mae Salong tea fields were a spectacular sight to see as well.
