Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm not able to host as I'm living with several roommates, but will continue to when I'm back home in Estonia. In the meanwhile I hope that the CS community can support me while I am travelling myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have much experience, but I have one that changed my life. Years ago I hitchhiked from Paris to Malta and stayed in a small town in Sicily, because I found this amazing artist through CS living in a home he had carved into the side of a mountain. It was the most incredible and special place I've ever been to. We also didn't share a common spoken language so we just used body language, but the communication magically just worked. Having the opportunity to get part of his way of life has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

Interests

I am an arts student and love everything creative. I love a good conversation and like to get to know people and the world around me. I also like to read, go to the movies and theatre, meet new people to enrich, inspire each other. In addition to being a freelance curator and arts manager, I've previously worked as an art teacher, piano teacher, babysitter, administrator, invigilator, and barista.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love different kinds of movies and my taste in music is also very broad...don't want to say mainstream because I'm not sure what that even means but... I especially enjoy when I take the time to read something not related to art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every country and place I have visited has left a mark as every experience has enriched me I think. I have done some so–called extreme things like bungee jumping or diving but I think some small unplanned moments or situations or coincidences can be just as amazing and thrilling.
