Hi there! My name is Katja and I currently live in Oulu, Finland. Just recently I came back from Japan after almost one year of living and studying there. I've met awesome people around the world and I really want to get know more! I'm open-minded free spirit and I want to experience new cultures, meet people and have fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best way to get to know the country and culture you're visiting, is to get to know the actual people who live there! I hope to meet people from different countries online and offline!

Interests

My passion is travelling! I would love to go and see as many countries as possible and meeting new people is of course the best part of it! Aside from that, I love art! I do graphic design, I love painting and drawing and recently I've become a passionate photographer too! I spend my free time hanging out with friends, having good time and occasionally daydreaming :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is food for my soul! I listen all kind of music from all genres! Currently my play list has been occupied with Plain Ride, Metallica, finnish hip hop and tunes that your radio couldn't find.

I love reading books and I'd love to have more time to read! Two of my all time favorites are Brief history of Time by Stephen Hawking and Naiv. Super by Erlend Loe.

I love movies! There's too many to list so I'll just sum it up like this: I'm fan of works by Chan-wook Park, just recently got hyped to see the new Mad Max (since I love the old ones of the serie), my heart gets touched by Kim Ki-duk's 3-Iron and the first movie I ever saw in movie theater was Lion King :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Met awesome people on my travels and had great time! Also climbed on top of sort of a mountain in Greenland and drank clear fresh water from a pond on top of it and found a mysterious cup in the forest of a mountain in Japan Ö___Ö
