Hello!
We are Katja and Franka, two German girls age 26 on our way back from our travel to the Canary Islands. We recently finished our studies in environmental psychology and are taking a bit of a breather before trying to find a fulfilling job in the challenging field of the interconnection between sustainability and society.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are doing interrail, and are looking to find a cozy spot to spend the night on our way home. We have a lot of memories in our backpacks and are happy to share them with you during our stay! We don't have many expectations for the place we get to sleep in, we also bring our own sleeping bags and towels. If you'd like to enjoy dinner with us, we are happy to cook up a delicious meal for all of us.

Music, Movies, and Books

We LOVE Drum&Bass for partying, and listen to a wide variety of music genres in our free time. We enjoy lofi for working, German female rap for channeling our feminism, and 70s and 80s to relax in good vibes.
We recently watched the White Lotus together, and to our favourite movies counts poor things and other works from Giorgos Lanthimos. Currently, we are not in a reading spree, but we enjoy feminist literature, and German childhood staples like The Neverending Story, Momo, or works from Astrid Lindgren and Ottfried Preußner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Both of my cats I have saved out of unpleasant circumstances. My first cat was found on the side of a field, and my second one was living in a household where he and his siblings were not taken care of properly. Now both of them have a loving home where they can play and cuddle as much as they please :)

Teach, Learn, Share

- We studied environmental psychology in our master's, so if you would like to delve into discussions about sustainability, the environment, societal issues and politics, we'd love to share our perspectives and hear yours!
- We are actively training to learn how to handstand freely, so join us for a training session if you're interested.
- We are open-minded and curious about strangers, so please share anything with us that you'd like to :) Besides that, we are big on sharing meals together! For eating, there is just one rule: the more, the merrier!
