I'm from Germany, working remotely and traveling the world. I moved around a lot as a kid, so I can't stay in one place for too long. My favourite part of the world is the Middle East! I'm a huge history nerd, I love scuba diving, horseback riding and the outdoors.

It's a great way to get in touch with local people and other travellers. I travel to learn about the world and different cultures, and I love meeting new and interesting people along the way.

I went on a research trip to the Sudan and spent 6 weeks living in a tent in the Sahara, walking through the desert all day mapping archaeological sites. It was so dirty and exhausting and hot, a sane person would have probably thought it was hell on earth, but I loved every second of it. There's nothing like the quiet solitude of the desert to escape from hectic modern life - or to remind you to be grateful for electricity and running water.

My biggest adventure so far was going to Yemen. Driving from Oman all the way to Sana'a and the mountains of northern Yemen was absolutely incredible.
