I am a backpacker, canoer, and outdoors girl. I am also a bartender and a corporate girl, an educator and enthusiastic leader. I am strong and not afraid of hard work or getting dirty. I am proficient with all Microsoft Office, and well-versed in working with computers after 25 years in corporate jobs. I have also worked as hotel front desk, waiter, bartender, I am proficient at event planning and coordination. I am a wine educator, I have 12 years of Crossfit experience. I have worked in retail sales and management and I have owned my own retail store. I am able to perform some home repairs, some auto repairs. I have some experience with horses. I have developed, coordinated and managed two large (4000 people plus) social clubs. I understand and can work with social networking sites, social content, email campaigns,etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am just starting on a perpetual travel tour, on my way to becoming a world nomad. I plan to slow travel around the world, experiencing new cultures and exploring new places. I want to learn more about homesteading, farming, natural medicines, animal husbandry and natural crafts and skills.

I am an outdoors enthusiast, a food lover and a wine aficionado. I am just as comfortable backpacking in the woods and living with nature as I am exploring a good wine list and indulging in great food.

Music, Movies, and Books

Primarily I explore science fiction, fantasy and historical fiction in both books and movies. My musical tastes are varied, from Jazz and Classical to Dubstep and EDM, and all the way to Angry Metal. Ultimately though, I prefer the sounds of nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started a Wine Retail and Wine Education business which lasted about two years. I learned a lot about business development during that time and even though I ultimately ended up closing the business, I feel I gained a lot of experience and knowledge.
