ABOUT ME

I'm originally from small town New England, and for the last 9 years I was based in the Sonoran desert in Arizona. I JUST moved to rural Pennsylvania, and am enjoying discovering the region! I'm a cultural anthropologist. A few years ago I lived in France doing research for my dissertation on North African social clubs. This year I spent six months in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, studying the social impacts of the BP oil spill on local communities. Outside of work I love hiking, dancing, music, rock climbing, though I don't get to do as much of them right now as I would like. I'm pretty quiet and spend a lot of my time cooking (and eating) with friends - food is one of my great passions!

I've done some traveling with CS, participated in a number of meetings and events, and FINALLY got the chance to host for the first time!

Interests
