Currently on an 8 month road trip across Australia, from Perth around the north and east to Melbourne!

From the South coast, England. I like travelling, like trying new things, like dancing, history, music, creativity, the outdoors, swimming, exploring, festivals, laughs, tea.

I am an engineer and travel with work as well as in my free time. I love immersing myself in new surroundings and learning about wildlife, plants, history, culture, natural history and geology in new places. Always happy to have the chance to meet new people.

I'm on Couchsurfing because during travel adventures I've had, I have learnt how generous people can be - I've had strangers offer me couches, beds and even a hotel room, just because they thought I could do with a good night's sleep before getting on my bicycle the next day. I've had strangers helping me fix things which are broken, cook me food and share a packed lunch.
I want to help other travellers and do a little bit to make other people feel welcome where I am. If everyone shares a little bit more, wouldn't life sometimes be a whole lot easier?!
I'm a fan of cycling, hitchhiking, camping, hostelling, seeing-whatever-happensing. I always want to learn something new and try something I haven't had the chance to do before.
It's always a blessing to meet a new nice person.
