About Me

I'm a photography student at the School of Visual Arts in New York. I'm in my last year of undergrad so my recent favorite activity is avoiding adults who might ask me about my future. I feel very strongly about cacti and sunsets and pretty pictures of people. I'm currently doing a final year thesis project where I'm taking pictures of siblings!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I tried it out once with a friend and it was such a positive experience I couldn't believe I hadn't tried it before! It's such a great way to meet people and visit new places. I'm planning a trip in January to a few US cities I've never been to and would love to meet some nice people and discover a new place.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like indie, acoustic stuff, but I also can bop to some pop music (Shawn Mendes anyone??) My default answer for my favorite movie is either How To Be Single or Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, though I wouldn't describe myself as a huge movie person. As for TV shows I, like most people, am a huge fan of The Office, and a few other shows I like or have watched recently: Mr. Robot, the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Stranger Things, Parks and Rec, New Girl, etc. One of my favorite photographers, in case anyone was wondering, is Ian Ruhter, he converted a moving truck into a giant camera and shoots these giant wet plates they're incredible. I also have been really liking a few Finnish photographers recently like Jari Silomäki, Heikki Williamo, and Mikko Pääkkönen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 15 I went to Australia with People to People and repelled down a 300 ft cliff, that was a little crazy and the first that comes to mind.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some photography basics if you like, I'd love to learn how to cook something as I'm not the most gifted in that aspect of life but I am trying to improve, and we can share some laughs and time together.

What I Can Share with Hosts
