CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to experience all that I can, as much as possible. I am extremely outgoing and comfortable in almost any situation. I am independent and creative. I would love to become a writer, and a stand-up comic, and think this could be the key!

ABOUT ME

I am an extremely outgoing person who enjoys making others laugh. I am comfortable in almost any situation and not afraid to go anywhere on my own. I could walk into a room of 1,000 people and walk out knowing over 800.
I am caring, giving and tend to look on the bright side of things. I am easygoing and don't anger easily.
I am athletic and love to find new adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in treating others as you wish to be treated. I love who I am and like to surround myself with like-minded people.
I face adversity head-on and I am the person I am today because of my experiences (both good and bad). It is not what we face in life, but how we deal with it that shapes us.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I signed up for this years ago and never really followed through with it. I'm going to be driving to Kentucky this summer and would love to stay with and meet new peeps along the way.

I hosted one fella here and we became friends. A great experience for an outgoing gal like me.

Interests

I love to travel, and have been to Ireland and Iceland. We have a cottage in Lake of the Woods, Canada, so that's one of my favorite places to travel as well. I love to read, write and take any vacation I can (whether it be one night, a weekend, or longer).
I am creative and love to make songs, or stories, about my experiences. I long to be a writer, of some sort.
I was a teacher for 16 years and have been a realtor for 3 years, now. I'm a hard worker and not afraid to take chances.
I also just started stand-up comedy, so that's been an adventure, to say the least. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm mostly an alternative music person, but still have wide tastes. A good murder mystery will keep me entertained and I love all kinds of movies...depends on my mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a world competitor and champion in The Highland Games. If you don't know what that is, look it up. It's pretty interesting and much more difficult than we make it look.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy all walks of life. Those who are willing to teach, and have the patience for it, get an A+ in my book. Any time I can say, "I learned something new today" is a good day.
