About Me

I'm a Software Engineer from Ukraine, who's been volunteering around Europe as a member of the European Youth Parliament for last 3 years. I really love traveling, but only when I travel. Paradox, ha? I never carve for it, but when life gives me a chance to go somewhere, I always take it no matter how hard and stressful the trip might be to align with my schedule, and I never regret going. I always appreciate lessons I've learnt and experience I've gained :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When traveling on a limited budget, especially considering accommodation being one of the biggest spendings, couchsurfing is a real saver. However, the best part of it is having a chance to meet people of another culture, immerse in the country's lifestyle, and get priceless tips from locals.

Interests

I prefer to think that I enjoy doing crafts in my spare time, but, to be honest, when I'm not at work I don't have willpower for anything but TV series or YouTube. One of my biggest loves is Doctor Who revival (yeah, I'm not that hardcore to watch the classic one). I was, am, and will always be head over heels into musicals and Disney cartoons. When I get tired of all this fluffiness, I enjoy watching something completely opposite like thrillers and documentaries. Of course, I fancy a good book, too. Jane Austen, Dostoevsky, and Bulhakov are my favourite authors, but I try to be diverse in my reading habits, so if you have recommendations, I'm open to them :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been really into the Curly Girl Method lately, so I can share some insights on wavy/curly hair care. Having bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, I can also teach you some basic programming. Although I'm far from crafts god, I can still teach how to make friendship bracelets or knit a scarf (with quick pre-googling, of course)

I wouldn't mind learning some new craft like macrame or dream catchers making, or playing some instrument, even the simplest melody would be a win, honestly. My cooking skills are terrible, so helping me to improve them would be a truly rewarding challenge.
