About Me
Hey!
I am moderately awesome and endlessly nice. :D Totally liberal and non-judgemental
I am up for hanging out, hosting the nice and haunting the wicked :P , having some great time together and alliterations!
As for hobbies, it can vary how much time I devote to each, but I love: dancing discofox, rollerskating, drawing/painting, helping animals (used to volunteer, now am helping homeless cats), baking, pretending to be smart by going to the theatre and classical concerts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Feels like CS is a dream that I never knew I had. And then it came into my life and brought so many wonderful people and experiences, that I wouldn`t have found otherwise.
It`s quite inspiring to be a part of it. You meet someone completely new, with another life experiences and views. You get to see a bit of their cultural background and share yours.
I understand how much surfing adds to the traveller`s experience of the city, and that`s why I do my best to be helpful and welcoming. I feel like I accomplish something valuable by that.
I love that I can bring some English or German into my home (and if you speak Dutch, you get a cookie, this language has a bit of my heart as well).
Interests
Podcasts, hiking, drawing
Music, Movies, and Books
Sci fi any day! If it is an older sci-fi, that`s even better. 2001 Space Odyssey, Contact, Puppet Masters, Apollo 13, Interstate 60, Jurassic Park, Alien.
One of the best best written works in my opinion is HPMOR. I have read it so many times that it`s too much to admit.
I love podcasts, so write me an excited "yay!" if you enjoy any of the following: WTNV, Alice isn`t dead, Wolf 359, The Big Loop.
One of my most favourite book series are The Demon Cycle and The Kingkiller Chronicle.
German(-speaking) authors, most of whose books I read, are Kafka, Remarque and Hesse. No surprises here, they are an obvious and safe choice for some good literature, I guess. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A 4000 km (in total) roadtrip with my dog.
Teach, Learn, Share
What is true is already so.
Owning up to it doesn't make it worse.
Not being open about it doesn't make it go away.
And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with.
Anything untrue isn't there to be lived.
People can stand what is true,
for they are already enduring it.
—Eugene Gendlin

What have you lost? Nothing!
