Hello, my name is Katya, I am 20 years old.

I was born in west Ukraine, but at an early age moved to Crimea and was raised in Crimea. After the occupation of Crimea by russia, I and my family left our home and moved to Kyiv. In Kyiv, I studied, worked, and simply enjoyed my life. I am a contemporary dancer. Last year - the main activity is working as an organizer of dance events in Ukraine, dance camps, and workshops. Also, I am teaching dance improvisation and working as a performer in theatre. Also, I am working as a graphic designer. The main field of activity is working with clothing brands as a brand designer and with media as a designer of special projects.

Due to the war in Ukraine, I was forced to leave my country, but I’m trying to be optimistic and continue my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Adapting to different lifestyles, homes, cultures, and traditions will make me more sociable and flexible in my travels. This experience also will give me a completely different outlook on my country. Another great thing about Couchsurfing and putting things into perspective is that it makes you realize how grateful and openminded you should always be.
