ABOUT ME

I really enjoy meeting and socializing with new people. I love learning from different backgrounds, opinions, and lifestyles. I don't take life too seriously.

I spent 2013 saving pennies to try and backpack 2014-2015. I stayed 90 days in Europe, and then three weeks in Morocco, landed a job in thailand which gave me the opportunity to travel southeast asia. Now I'm working in Hawai'i!

I'm either chatty or reserved, depends on the vibe, whatever the case I try to contribute.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I really have had an awesome couchsurfing experience, really the memories of the people and the conversation are just as prevalent as the sites I see in the locations. When reflecting on where I have been, the conversation always mentions the person I stayed with. It's like I take a tiny little piece of each person and tuck it into my little traveling pocket.

FOOD. I love food, the more diverse the better. Generally I both think most foods from different cultures taste way better than American food. I am always up for trying something new and different, I think that is a huge chunk of experiencing different cultures.

If you told young katy what future katy achieved so far, she would be amazed that she went to and finished grad school.

Traveling Southeast Asia was amazing... But Myanmar and Bali are the best places I've been to, hands down.
