My partner (Azar) and I are living in London since 2016, where I have been doing my PhD and where she is working as an architect. Azar and I have studied and worked in Europe (Norway, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Switzerland) and the Far East (Burma). We love traveling and we would like to consider ourselves 'citizens of the world', always eager to meet new people and mingle with new cultures. An evening chat over a beer is our ideal pastime.

We're here to expand our social circle beyond borders and potentially make new lifetime friends, as we have done in the past through Couchsurfing. We would be happy to host interesting people who share some interests with us, and perhaps then we can visit some of these people back in their home. In our experience of travelling the world, the best trips are those where you get to experience a new place with a local.

兴趣

Well, good movies, good books, good music of course but also board games and standup comedy are some of our common interests between my partner and I. I am in particular interested in chess, tennis, guitar, and video games. She is especially into architecture, dance, knitting, and calligraphy. That's what comes to mind now, but it's definitely not limited to that.

I love Hemingway's, Vargas Llosa's and Yuval Harari's books, among others. My list of favourite movies is really too long to fit here, but perhaps I can name 12 Angry Men, Tokyo Story, and Taste of Cherry as a couple that come to my mind right now that is always up there... Also in Music, our tastes is widely varied, from Iranian traditional music (sad and meditative) to Metallica and Pink Floyd, to disco dance songs of the day!

We do love learning foreign languages (Azar is especially interested in swear words!) and we can teach you back some fun things in Persian. We can also teach you some board games to play together if there is time.

Besides what I wrote in the "My Home" section, we can also play a game together, watch a movie on our nice bigscreen TV, or just sit there, drink and chat.
