Présentation
À propos de moi
Hey there! I'm Kavin, an easygoing and respectful traveler who loves meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing good conversations. I'm originally from Kenya and currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering. When I'm not studying or working on projects, you'll find me exploring nature, trying out local dishes, or deep-diving into tech and DIY builds.
I enjoy meaningful connections and believe in mutual respect and open-mindedness. Whether it's swapping travel stories, cooking a meal together, or just relaxing after a long day, I'm always up for a good time with kind-hearted people. I'm tidy, responsible, and always happy to help out around the house.
Looking forward to meeting amazing hosts and fellow travelers along the journey
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds while traveling in a more meaningful way. For me, it's not just about finding a place to sleep — it's about sharing experiences, learning from locals, and building friendships across the world.
I believe that the best way to understand a place is through the people who live there. Couchsurfing allows me to break out of the tourist bubble, have authentic conversations, and contribute to a community based on trust, openness, and kindness. I'm always grateful for the opportunity to both host and be hosted, and I look forward to giving back whenever I can
Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Music: I have a pretty diverse taste — from Afrobeat, reggae, and hip hop to chill acoustic and instrumental tunes. Burna Boy, Sauti Sol, and Lo-fi playlists are my go-to when I’m relaxing or on the move.
🎬 Movies: I love a good mix of genres — from mind-bending thrillers like Inception and Interstellar, to feel-good classics like The Pursuit of Happyness and Forrest Gump. I also enjoy documentaries that challenge the way we think about the world.
📚 Books: I’m into personal growth, tech, and travel reads. Some favorites include Atomic Habits by James Clear, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. I also enjoy reading about engineering innovations and real-life success stories
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I once helped build a small-scale water harvesting system in a rural community during a school outreach project. It was a simple setup, but seeing how it made life easier for the locals was incredibly fulfilling. It reminded me how even small actions can create real impact — and it pushed me further into engineering with a purpose
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
Teach: I can share what I know about mechanical engineering, basic coding, DIY tech fixes, or how to cook a few Kenyan dishes like chapati and ugali. I also enjoy helping people with anything tech-related — from setting up gadgets to building websites.
📚 Learn: I'm always eager to learn new languages, cooking styles, cultural customs, and everyday skills I haven’t tried before. Whether it’s music, art, or how to surf — I’m all in.
🌍 Share: I love sharing good stories, meaningful conversations, and experiences. I’m happy to share meals, music, laughs, and good vibes — and always open to helping out with anything during my stay
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I can share great conversations, a positive attitude, and a respectful presence in your home. I'm always happy to lend a hand with cleaning, cooking (especially some Kenyan dishes if you're curious!), or helping out with tech stuff — from fixing small gadgets to setting up your Wi-Fi or website.
