ABOUT ME
If they made a movie about my life it would be called "Gratitude" or "Grati-dude" :)
The movie would star Robin Williams and would be about a lifetime of looking beyond the apparent, connecting with the essence of things and people, and having a deep sense of gratitude that makes everything about life beautiful including challenging times.
I enjoy all aspects of life and cherish all the experiences I have had. My desire to understand the world we live in have driven me to pursue an education in Art, Psychology, and Science and my urge to cultivate the development of myself and our global community have driven me to further my education in technology, business, non-profit, and community development.
I love to meet people and hear their stories. It beats any book or movie. It is a real opportunity to connect with another human being with the desire to deeply understand them and accept them for their individuality.
I pursue my passions and enjoy what is around every corner. I enjoy writing, creating art, going to galleries, traveling, listening to music, singing, road trips, gardening, making food that tastes good and looks good.
Meeting my wife was one of the greatest things that every happened to me in life. We like to host dinner parties, entertaining family and friends, play games, have amazing conversations and laugh. I enjoy the outdoors as much as I like to share the corner of my sofa under a blanket cuddling in silence or watching a movie. I enjoy dressing up for a night at the city to watch a play or a concert, dress down for a nice camp fire, or take a spontaneous weekend trip to new york to watch a broadway show.
Art is one of my passions. I enjoy creating art myself and enjoy going to art exhibits festivals and local art galleries. I love little children and the things they do and say. I love to give back to the community and pinch some lips into a smile. The love to explore places and cultures around the world keeps my backpack always ready.
I stay active and healthy. I ran three marathons and many shorter races.
PHILOSOPHY
To truly understand others one must accept that ultimate and absolute truth does not exist with one's self or one's thoughts. Only then we can look at things with an open and accepting eye that has compassion for our own perceptions as well as others and accept that all perceptions are untruth.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted many people from all around the world and enjoyed some exciting adventures with them. I also had the privilege to stay with some of the most amazing CSers and enjoy attending local CS community events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done couch surfing before I was on couchsurfing.com . Growing up we always had our house open to people. I have so many older sisters and brothers who are just students we hosted for free while they went to college. Building community is important and helps erase borders, boundaries, and cultivate compassion and connectedness.
Interests
I'm interested in Art and cross-cultural dialogue. I love coming up with ideas and helping start-ups. Professionally I am invested in making significant contributions to the future of Healthcare.
