Hi! My name is Leigh Francis. Some people call me Leigh, Francis, and Kaying (my Filipino nickname, sort of!). I was born in one of the small islands of the Philippine archipelago called Tacloban, Leyte. I grew up in the seas and survived over a thousand typhoons and tsunamis!

I used to work in call center industries for about 4 years and at the same time teaching guitar and drums in a private music school. I'm currently in Trent, Italy studying Pop Music in the Conservatory of Music.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have friends around the world, especially in Europe. I only visit countries where my friends live to spare me from expensive BnB's and hostels. I've known couchsurfing for years but I never tried it. Now that I've gained more experience with travel, I want to meet new people and make new friends, and hopefully, convince them to visit Philippines, my homeland in the future :)

My passion is Music and I almost listen to every music genre including Beiber's!!! :p Mostly metal, hardcore, punk, alternative, indie, experimental, house, RnB, jazz, blues, and bossanova.

Movies. No genres in particular. I watch any film that I find interesting.

I hate books. I love instruction manuals/user guides for tech stuff related to music and photography

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once got stranded in a bad weather up in the dolomites (south tyrol) and almost got hit by a lightning. You can't pitch a tent when you're caught up in a heavy rain so I kept looking for a refuge until I came across a WW1 old cavern and stayed there for one night. I honestly don't have anything material to share with you. I can only tell you my story :p I've been through a lot in life and you will hardly believe how a simple Filipino guy like me have reached Europe! And how I got into the Conservatory of Music in Italy! Though there's one thing I might be able to offer: Good and trustworthy friends back in my country. If you ever want to visit my homeland, I can refer you to my friends to help you out in your tour. Or if ever I'm home. I'd be glad to tour you myself to the best places on earth (in the Philippines!)

PS. If you need an adventure buddy to hike with in the dolomites of south tyrol (Northern Italy)region, count me in! I live in Trent and I often go on hiking alone during my free time. I can take good photos too! :D
