About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Read books that matter, write words that matter, convince others they matter

ABOUT ME

I'm a twenty-something working on finding my voice and purpose in our small world.

Less vaguely, I'm studying Renaissance/Early Modern lit with the hopes of becoming a professor. I'm a firm believer in the power of following the heart, and I am continuously practicing radiating- whether it is Christ's love, understanding, passion, thought, curiosity, or concern

PHILOSOPHY

To show as much love and passion as possible

Music, Movies, and Books

My short answer is any! Seriously, but favorites...

Movies: Moonrise Kingdom, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Source Code, The Holiday, My Neighbor Totoro

Books: The Autobiography of an Execution, Cloud Atlas, Ella Enchanted, The Taming of the Shrew, To Kill a Mockingbird, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, In Cold Blood, lots more. Too many :)

Music: Lord Huron, Bronze Radio Return, Jack Johnson, Santana, Miles Davis, Kacey Musgraves, OneRepublic, The Black Keys, Vampire Weekend

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple of years ago, I took tango lessons in Buenos Aires. I can't say that I'm a lovely tango dancer, but I can say that learning tango in its birthplace was a beautiful experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have the most experience in teaching English and writing, but I also have a Political Science degree and an interest in women's and gender studies. I greatly value knowledge and learning in general.
