Hello fellow Couchsurfers!

My name is Kayla, and I was born and raised in Orange County, California. I live about 10 minutes away from Disneyland, 20 minutes from the beach, and an hour and a half away from the mountains. I absolutely adore where I am from and feel extremely lucky to live in such an ideal climate.

This summer I will be traveling to Italy, France, England, Germany, and the Netherlands. It will be my first time in Europe so I am extremely excited!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to submerge myself in other cultures and meet some great people! I think CS is a great way to be a participant in another culture instead of just being another tourist.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my favorite form of art. I am not a fan of top hits or really anything that plays on the radio. I listen to a lot of rock from the 60s and 70s, indie, electronic, hip-hop, soul, jazz, and funk.

I also have a strong appreciation for film. German expressionism might be my favorite type of film. I love the dark, twisted style that plays with imagery. Any movie that evokes an emotion out of a person is a great film in my opinion.

Scuba dived with a pack of man-eating sharks in the Bahamas.
