I'm just a girl with a serious case I wanderlust. Just got a full time job to go with my part time job to save some serious cash and be able to travel more over the next two years while my boyfriend and I have to stay in NY to finish school. After that we'll be moving (hopefully across the country) and seeing even more of the world!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couch surfing provides a cheaper alternative to hotels, while also providing a richer experience. As a broke recent college grad who will hopefully be starting my Masters in the next 6 months or so, I need ways to travel cheaper, while I personally enjoy meeting people from different places and putting myself into the culture of the place I'm visiting. I think couch surfing can make experiences to remember for a lifetime. I studied abroad after high school as a Rotary Youth Exchange student, and living with host families and meeting other exchange students from around the world was amazing. Some of my favorite memories in my life were made during the time I was living in Denmark and traveling Europe with amazing friends.

Interests

There is nothing like the feeling of a good book in your hands. I could read for days. I also knit, crochet, and cross stitch, and enjoy most anything crafty. Usually in something like this I would say travel- but I think all of us here are interested in travel- or we wouldn't be here!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I will watch, listen to, or read just about anything. I'm open to new things and even like a lot of what I try. Music wise I really love singer-songwriter, indie type stuff, but also have a soft spot for absolutely anything from the 90's. Movie wise I am a chick flick girl.. Although I also love documentaries and usually like movies made from books (as long as they stay true enough to the books!!) Book wise I truly am an open book. I will read anything.. From biographies of Hitler, to books on finance, to the classics. As for a favorite kind of book- there's something about crime and mystery novels that suck me right in and don't let me go until I'm done with the entire book. 😊

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?! I went skydiving in summer of 2014 with my Mom. We got tattoos commemorating the experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is a great motto. I'm willing to share whatever knowledge I have, but I'm not currently sure what that might be. However I am always willing to learn! I think that's a driving force behind my wanderlust, I want to see and know and learn about everything I can!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good times and an open mind. Discussions about pretty much anything whenever they come up. Memories that will last forever. I can teach you to knit or crochet.. I can share some drinks and laughs and myself as a new friend!!
