About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn who i am outside of work again. Be ready to overinvest in myself rather than a job.

ABOUT ME

Deeply passionate about music and its industry, i still love and find happiness inside of my work. However, i am currently taking a two month sabbatical in Australia (why not?!) to disentangle myself from the throes of office work, even mixed in with live music and and flipping records. i'm relearning that i love to read, to write, to walk alone and to familiarize with strangers. it's been about 8 years since i've traveled and my sea legs are beginning to come back to me.

i come from a family household with over 19 pets in my lifetime, from two ground-up family businesses, and was raised to be absolute best friends with my baby sister. We have always been humbled by the privilege of travel and it's important to us that we respect every place we visit and all of the people we encounter. as i get older it sinks in more and more how amazing it is to share land with each other.

I'm fluent in both English and Spanish (although this may be more conversational-- it's been several years since i spoke it every day) and am revving my engines to learn a few more languages.

PHILOSOPHY

You must be uncomfortable to grow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The abundance of hosts I've stayed with on CS have opened my eyes! They've been fantastic! I love to travel and meet new people and couchsurfing is the perfect way to connect with locals. Although i value my time spent wandering alone, the nights shared with a host over dinner or drinks make a trip what it is! That said, I'm only a guest so far, although I'd love to host someday.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've somehow clicked immediately with all of my hosts. They've been the perfect balance of laid-back, fun, talkative, and intelligent, showing me around a bit or cooking me dinner (even letting me cook and help with dishes!), but also allowed me to be a bit on my own, which is also fantastic! I cannot wait to get back into surfing.

Interests

I don't claim to be a photographer, but I do pride myself on being able to capture a moment exactly as i feel it, being on my camera or in one of several journals as I make my way around the world as well. Back home you can always catch me in the crowd of a show, or working an event

->Danced around a makeshift Mariachi band in la Plaza Mayor of Madrid in the middle of the night

->Helped craft a music festival celebrating our record label's 10 year anniversary from the ground up in 8 weeks with only our office team of 25 people. it sold out at 3,000 attendees, hosted local food and artesan vendors, and had a ten band lineup that was headlined by our boss' band who hadn't had a public appearance in almost nine years. it was a whirlwind.

-> completed Sydney's Coastal Walk
