Originally I'm from Birmingham but I currently live in Exeter with my Mum and little brother and teenage sister. I'm taking a year out from work to travel around SE Asia. I've been to Thailand many times and really enjoyed it so I wanted to spend more time in this area. Back home I train in Muay Thai, been doing that for 6 years and hope to get some training in on the road. Enjoy reading as much as possible, being with family and friends and probably spend too much time reading travel blogs ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am travelling to learn more about different cultures and how the local people live. I like staying in homestays so I can find out about the local area and interact with the local people and other travellers.

Interests

My passion for the last 6 years has been Muay Thai, this sport has totally enriched my life and given me so much confidence. I love both the fitness and competitive side and have had 11 fights so far. Taking a break from it at the moment to focus on travelling for the next 12 months. But Muay Thai is always in my heart :)
Also like cooking and back home I prepare all my own food (I don't like processed), enjoy cycling and walking, spending time with friend and family. I like reading lots and I'm either reading on my Kindle or on the internet, there's so much knowledge out there...I love it :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all types of music - rock, pop, trance, hip hop, r n b

Books - I love self-help books and anything to do with personal development. Any book that helps me to learn about our world.

Movies - horrors and pyschological thrillers are at the top of my list, comedies, sci-fi, some rom-coms (I blame The Notebook...it got me lol), action movies, fighting movies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing a skydive in Australia...was amazing.
Also, competing in the world Muay Thai championships last year which was an awesome experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my experiences so far with my travels and about my home country. I can also teach you about Muay Thai boxing and about the history and culture of the sport :)
I want to learn about the local culture of the places I visit which I think is best when staying in homestays or with a couch surfing host.
