About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to finally make my dreams come true :-) i.e. to travel :-)

ABOUT ME

Hmm..what do say? First of all, for the past 5 years I have worked too much - it is my first real holiday for a very long time. I am spontanous, vivid, cheerful, sometimes too talkative :-). On the other hand too logical ;-) as some say. So it is a mixture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't have time to be an active member of CS community so far. Throughout the year I work 7 days a week and study two weekends a month. But I am planning to change it now and have more time :-).

Interests

What do I do in free time? Well, if I have free time I read books (I love SF) I don't watch Tv, but I cant imagine a day without music. I like songs with words. I like ancient history, too. If you want to know more ask me :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books by Isaak Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, Aldous Huxley, Robert Graves, Gerald Durrell and many more (Heller, Orwell, Lindgren....)
Music: classical (Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Vivaldi...)
Contemporary music: starting with Dead Can Dance and finishing with Rammstein (also Metallica, Motorhead, Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd, Manu Chao, Calle 13 - one of the most important songs - Chris de Burgh "Spanish Train".
Movies: many, many, many....among other: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (both versions), Pirates of the Carribean, Finding Nemo, RED, Gladiator, Requiem for a Dream, Practical Magic, I, Claudius with Derek Jacobi, Good Year (I don't like romantic comedies very much though but I sometimes give them a try :-) and many more..)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have brought up my son to be a self-aware and responsible person. To give birth is not everything.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have always loved foreign languages. I enjoy to learn them as much as I enjoy to teach ;-). I have lots of ideas to use in the classroom or for indiviual classes. And of course for those who have the passion and the power to learn by themselves (I have always admired Heinrich Schliemann)
