Hello! My name is Kaylie and I am 21 years old. I was originally born in Sydney, Australia, however my family is Canadian so I've grown up in Vancouver, British Columbia. I have not yet proceeded to post-secondary education as I'm still uncertain of what I want to do study. I graduated high school in the year of 2012 since then I have worked away saving money and doing a few trips here and there. In 2013 I went abroad to work as an Au Pair on a small island off the west coast of Brittany, France. I did that for a few months and then ended up traveling around Europe by myself for another few months. Since then I have been working as a server at a beautiful beachside restaurant in the heart of Kitsilano (a vibing neighborhood in the middle of Vancouver).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently, I'm getting ready to embark on one of the longest trips I've ever done. I'm planning on working and traveling around Australia as I haven't been back there since I was born! This is my first time using couch surfing but I have heard amazing reviews from many of my friends and I wanted to try something different.
I believe this is a wonderful way to travel and meet new people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leave my life here in Vancouver at the age of 19 and work abroad in a very small town where english wasn't used at all. It completely forced me out of my comfort zone and made me realize how important it is to remember your goals and what you want out of life.
