ABOUT ME

Well... I have this crazy affinity for defying tradition. I really enjoying making my own path, and I enjoy it even more when it leads to something awesome. I love to watercolor, write, read, listen to music, and talk to people. I'd much rather be outside than watching TV. I'm also fairly healthy, as in I stay away from pop and cookies, but still have a wild love for ice cream and caramel. I'm trying my hand at photography so hopefully that works out! I want to travel and see all the beauty of earth and to meet people from every walk of life. I'm also opinionated and outspoken, but don't worry, I can't be mean!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't think I understand what I'm supposed to say here, BUT I will try to answer in a relevant way. I don't know if I participate, really. In high school I didn't do much, but that was because I was busy sitting at the lake and listening to folk music. Now? I still don't think I "participate". I would rather explore the secrets of my state and drive around then go to a football game, I think that means I participate in life, exploration, and adventure. So, therefore, I do in fact participate, and that is how I do it.

I just realized what I was supposed to put here... Since I have yet to participate in CS, I'm going to leave everything that I already typed for now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never done a couchsurfing thing nor anything related to it. Once, I slept on a bench in town overnight just for the experience (it was worrisome, to say the least) and I spend most of my summers sleeping in my car or out camping in various places. Does that work?

Movies: Anything Wes Anderson or Tim Burton, chick flicks (I'm definitely a girl), certain cult movies because I just can't help it, Friends with Benefits, 500 Days of Summer, Boondock Saints, The Butler, August: Osage County, Cloud Atlas, Fight Club, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars...there are many more, I'm sure.

Music: Don't even get me started on this. My all-time favorite bands are the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Modest Mouse. FOREVER. Books: I LOVE TO READ. I like thinking books but I also like the staples such as the Harry Potter and Eragon series. I like A Clockwork Orange, Pay It Forward, books by John Green, Khaled Hosseini, gothic novels. I honestly can't think of anymore, but trust me when I say that I've read enough books to be proud of.

The only things that I would want to teach people is to loosen up and enjoy life. Life is a glorious gift so try to love every moment of it. Also, don't be scared to disappoint people with your choices, and I don't mean go out and make horrible decisions, I mean go out and live for you. Too many people live their lives for the wrong reasons, you need to find the right ones. Don't live for other people because in the end, you're the one that has to live with your decisions. SO, do what makes you happy.

Me? I need to learn to have courage and faith in myself. That's what I'm looking for now. I'm currently at a fork in the road so I need to learn to be brave and make my own choices. Essentially, to live by my own advice.
