ABOUT ME

I’m a small town girl born and raised in Morinville, Alberta, Canada. I don't really have a job, I have spent the last couple of years au pairing in Europe and doing odd jobs in Canada as well as persuing my career as an artist! I absolutley love traveling and meeting new people! The best part of Europe was seeing the amazing sites and meeting amazing characters! You never know what is going to happen in the life of a backpacker. I love how when you walk into a hostel and everyone is so welcoming and out going and the atmosphere is just amazing! So my ambition for the next couple of years is to travel and have fun before I start getting too old and have to settle down lol. I am a very organized outgoing person who is loving life!

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to the fullist! And don't do something just because others do it! I would hate to have a life that I wasn't happy with, which is the reason I am traveling, I don't want to sit in a desk or an office the rest of my life!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In August I had 3 girls (1 swedish and 2 austrian) stay at my house for 1 month. We met while I was in Europe and they wanted to see Canada so I invited them to stay at my place! We toured Alberta for the month taking a roadtrip to see the Canadian Rockies, Hiking in Drumheller, Swimming at some of the lakes, Camping, Partying, site seeing and shopping! We had a great time, we meet through the "CouchSurfing" website but they did surf my couch! lol

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed twice while in Europe and had an amazing time! The first time was in Barcelona, we stayed with Junior! It was an amazing first experiance they lived right near the beach, they had so much insider information! I love how you meet people and see things that you wouldn't find on a hostel board! The second time I couch surfed I was in Scottland had a blast! It was a shorter 2 night stay but we went out and saw the city with a local! She showed us a BYO cafe! I have never been to one before ( They are illegal in Canada!) and it was great! The atmoshpere was amazing!

I love Art! Not that contemparary crap where someone puts a line on a canvas and say that it means something but real 19th century art where they put days and months into every little detail that makes up a painitng! I spent the day at the louve in absolute Awe!!! I love painting portraits, and capturing that detail that modern art is moving away from!

I love Movies!!!! Growing up my parents owned a movie store, so I live, breath and watch a ton of movies lol, it's actually a little embrassing how much I know, you could name an actor, describe any seen or even just describe the front cover of a movie and I would know which one you are talking about! lol My favorite (only naming a few, I have hundreds!) is Lord of the Rings (I know its geeky but you can't deny it's the greatest movie EVER made!!! lol), Avatar (if you haven't seen it, you should!! Its amazing), Without a paddle (seth green makes me laugh!), Moulin Rouge ( I love musicals!), Chicago, Tommy Boy, Juno, Pretty woman, Elf (best x-mas movie!), wedding singer, shrek ...
