ABOUT ME

i am a post-grad student studying archaeology and art history based in Istanbul, Turkey. I have spent roughly the last 9 months of my life in UK, mainly in Durham as a visiting student. Over the course of the last 10 years (more or less) i have tried to travel as much as I can and make as many friends as possible on the way. I am currently in Birmingham doing a summer school on Byzantine Greek.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I must say that I am quite new to CS. Since I have spent most my adult life living in uni accommodation, I haven't had to host people. But I would be more than happy to show travellers around if they ever would wanna come to my cities, Istanbul and Izmir.

Interests

I do love travelling ( I even ended up writing a thesis on it) and discovering new languages and cultures on the way. I spent most of my time, learning languages and reading&writing on history and archeology. Since I managed to make my interest my job, I don't have so much time left from that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is indeed a hard question. The things I remember from my former travels would always be culinary ones. Hiking along the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia and eating the most delicious blackberries and figs of my life was one of the most amazing things that I have ever done in my lifetime.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am really really into new learning new languages, so far I have attempted to learn more than 7 languages. I am still in the process of finding new ones so share the ones that I already know :)
