About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be bold.

ABOUT ME

I am a total Anglophile and hope to live in England again someday. In the meantime, I am trying to see as much of the world as possible before I decide I want to settle down.
I work in the non-profit sector and love my job. I truly feel like I make a difference every day.
I love Boston with the kind of passion that I thought only London ignited. I think it will be "home" for quite a while. I love exploring the different neighborhoods and taking pictures around the city.

PHILOSOPHY

You have to see the world before you can change it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Love British pop and rock- Kooks, Fratellis, Franz Ferdinand, James Morrison. Stateside, I like the Damnwells, Jimmy Eat World, old Incubus. My big guilty pleasure is Justin Timberlake.
Books: I love the classics- Jane Austen, Louisa May Alcott, Oscar Wilde. I read Little Women and Pride and Prejudice once a year. They just never get old. Also- Shantaram, The Glass Castle, The Time Traveler's Wife, The Devil in the White City, The Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me, moving from a town of 413 people to a metropolis of more than 13 million was a pretty bold step. It was an incredible challenge trying to integrate myself into the culture. My proudest moment was when a couple stopped me for directions. Not only did I look like I belonged, but I was also able to get them very detailed directions. I think the American accent made them a bit distrustful though. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to teach people to knit and crochet. It's amazing how fast they get hooked (pun intended).
