ABOUT ME

I've realized the best option for this is a list of things I like
So here goes:
actively finding new music to listen to
reading books outside
walking around barefoot
white flowy skirts
the smell of my dreads just after i wash them
smiling at strangers
getting lost
finding my way from getting lost
trashy girly magazines on long airplane rides
sleeping with a good playlist going on my itunes
hoop earrings
big earrings in general
blue jewelry
laughing so hard that I cry
flip flops
dancing with my eyes closed
purple
summertime chicago
swearing
being spontaneous
beach sand
people who don't hover
keeping it real 24/7
old photographs
my mom's jewelry from the 70s
breathing warm air under the sun
life

Studying in Lyon for a semester!!

“I’m not fascinated by people who smile all the time. What I find interesting is the way people look when they are lost in thought, when their face becomes angry or serious, when they bite their lip, the way they glance, the way they look down when they walk, when they are alone and smoking a cigarette, when they smirk, the way they half smile, the way they try and hold back tears, the way when their face says they want to say something but can’t, the way they look at someone they want or love… I love the way people look when they do these things. It’s beautiful.”

PHILOSOPHY

Pourquoi Pas?

I have a bus pass, so I can see the world. I just might not be able to buy anything when I get there haha

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I'm a student, my living situation is probably the most unstable aspect of my life haha

This semester I'm living in Lyon with a family, so I can't host anyone. However, I'm always down for meeting up with people! Especially since I don't know too much about Lyon and would love to see more of it.

The same goes for when I return to Philadelphia to finish school, or when I return home to Chicago. I can definitely show people some good spots in both cities!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couch surfing experience this September in Marseille! It was amazing. My host was so kind and hospitable. And although he couldn't really show us around the city that much, he was great with pointing out areas of interest. After my time in Marseille, I knew couch surfing was something I wanted to keep participating in.

Interests

Photography (particularly film), Dance (hip hop/ragga/learning choreo from amazing music videos haha), Henna Designs, Miscellaneous activities, I guess activities that seem strange but actually turn out to be the best thing ever, like coloring books or a goodreads quiz on harry potter trivia,
