About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to laugh so hard it makes your stomach hurt at least once a day

ABOUT ME

We've joined our CS accounts - Beau's verified account with all of his recommendations is here: https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/btreadwell/

Beau: Producer, Composer & Musician - I love to play all genres of music. I love all types of art and architecture. Love to laugh and enjoy people with a great and witty sense of humor!

Kaitlin: Sometimes I laugh so hard that I cry, argue for the fun of it, and eat so much food in one sitting that I can't move...someday I just might rule the world.

PHILOSOPHY

"We are what we believe we are. Live with intention."

"We are more than our bodies, it is true, but we cannot be divorced from them."

"I don't want to die simply having visited this world..."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We both have hosted in California, Alabama, and New York (Kaitlin has couchsurfed around the world) and we love showing people around! We'll be traveling to Spain and Italy in September/October 2015 where we can meet the local people, eat great food, find hole-in-the-wall places, hear some good music, and sleep on the couch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is one of the finer things in life.

Beau: I planned on doing a big Europe trip a couple years ago but my finances fell through. I made my couch available and then started hosting people from all over the world. It's so cool to have friends in so many different countries!

Kaitlin: I've had some of the most awkward moments of my life - like when some French men decided to put a live fish in a bag and then put it in my freezer...and some of the best - meeting Beau when he was my host in Alabama :)

Interests

reading, nature, warm days, cool days, good music (Beau is a bass player!), dancing, the opera, the symphony, dancing in the vegetable aisle, good food, candy, sightseeing, running, jumping, museums, the outdoors, joking around, sleeping, learning about different cultures, languages, the beach...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kaitlin: When studying abroad I decided to take a 36-hr train ride from Salzburg to Istanbul that turned into a 40+ hr ride where I got stranded in Serbia.

Beau: One of the best shows I've ever seen was Thievery Corporation in 2003 and saw Daft Punk and the Rapture at Red Rocks Amphitheater in '07. Both were INCREDIBLE!!! Worked for a concert promoter and have had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Jurassic 5, and Ludacris among others.
