ABOUT ME

I was born in Victoria Canada but grew up for the most part just outside of Vancouver in a place called North Delta. I joined the Air Force after a year of not doing much after highschool and spend six years as a aerospace telecommunications technician. I got a bit fed up with the military and a poor relationship so I decided to leave everything, sell everything and embark on a travel to as many countries as I can afford to visit.

So far I've had the pleasure of visiting the following countries outside of Canada: USA, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Estonia, Costa Rica and Latvia.

One of the more interesting stories I can tell is about a six month military tour in the North Pole (CFS Alert) which is the most northern station in the entire world!

I run a travel website called AdventureKen.com (I'm not the most creative person I suppose and I couldn't think of a better name... Seems I get a lot of search results for barbie dolls ... doh!

Yeah so my life is being blogged and I'm trying to make it a little more interesting and "professional" -- trying to earn a couple bucks from AdSense to make my trip a little bit longer.

I love to take photos and in the last 8 months I've taken nearly 7,000... not too shabby ;)

So that's pretty much me.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess I am traveling because I'm having problems working out my personal philosophy. The whole "travel until you figure it all out" situation seems to be at the forefront for me right now.

I'm somewhat of a computer geek, I worked in the Electronics field and was also a network administrator for a military base affiliated with NORAD (the big radar thing around north america)
