About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To truly live in the present and enjoy the life I've been given. Of course, it's always better shared.

ABOUT ME

My goals in life are to find joy in all moments, to share life with amazing people and see as much of the world as possible. I love my family and friends so much and realize it more and more every day. I like to challenge myself personally through travel (both abroad and in my own city) and by trying to learn every day. Traveling is my passion. I usually just buy a ticket and go somewhere without anything else because getting lost is fun. I love a good cafe and really love a good bar that you can post up at, preferably with craft beers. Hobbies: traveling, sports, friends/family, yoga/exercise, music, reading, learning Spanish, trying good coffee/beers, people watching, mindless wandering, and bike/motorcycle riding. Teaching is the best job in the world, especially when it's with kids. I like when people show me their life and share it with me. Someone once told me to "Make stories cause they're all you have when you get old." I want to make as many stories as possible and smile while I'm doing it. I like funny things too...cause they're funny.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm sussing that out a little more each day. Family and friends are a paramount aspect of my existence. Living the life that you want cannot be underestimated and should never be ignored. Be kind and try to understand. Let the little things slide. Smile as much as you can. If you're not growing, then something has to change. Accept people for who they are. Just have a love for life and be kind.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love rock and roll, reggae and folk/singer songwriter music but my ipod has just about every genre on it and I listen to everything. I love getting music from people.

Movies: Lost in Translation, Home Alone 1/2, Guy Ritchie films, Medianeras, Boondock Saints, Adam Sandler flicks, Notting Hill and Love Actually (yeah I said it), A Christmas Story, Half Baked, Friday, etc.

Books: Lord of the Rings, 3 Cups of Tea, Robert Ludlum books, and whatever my friends recommend. Books are sweet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmmmmm, really tough one. This could probably be changed every day, because life is so amazing. Stepping off the plane and back into my country for the first time in 16 months was one of the most personally emotional feelings I've ever had. Every moment from that past rough year and a half just came together in conjunction with the realization that I was home. I really have a hard time describing it. It was everything, from beautiful to heart-wrenching, all at once. It kind of put it all together for me and then overwhelmed me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll teach and share whatever I have (within reason ;)). I'm willing to learn anything and everything.
