To explore the world and meet as many fun, interesting, creative people as I possibly can. Through my travels I've come to realize just how small the world really is and how connected we all really are.

ABOUT ME

Myself (Anton) and my best friend (Alfio) have been traveling together for almost 6 years now. We've been all over the world and we've found that one of the best parts of traveling is meeting new people and making friends. I really hope to utilize this site to make connections with a whole slew of new and exciting people! We are both extremely friendly, fun and artistically minded guys. Oh, we are also gay (but not boyfriends!)

PHILOSOPHY

I grew up in suburban New Jersey which is very sheltered to say the least. When I moved to New York City 6 years ago I fell in love with it because I thoroughly enjoyed being exposed to so many different types of people. When I began traveling with my best friend my whole viewpoint expanded even more.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to make new friends from around the world. To open our apartment in New York to people and to be able to travel around and be welcomed in other people's homes. I think being able to share space with others is a great way to get to know all different types.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing and hosting. Have seen so much of the world and now I'm kicking myself because I wonder how much cooler it would have been to have traveled through CouchSurfing!

Interests

I love the arts and visit museums regularly. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is basically my second home. I also love to read. I've taken many literature courses in school and love to discover new books, both challenging and entertaining. Right now I'm reading the "Song of Ice and Fire" series. Not usually a fantasy book fan but this series is so incredible :-) I also like to have fun and go bar-hopping/clubbing to relieve school stress! Oh, and of course, traveling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First and foremost, traveling has done so many amazing things for my life. Stepping outside of my little bubble in New Jersey for the first time was a life-changing event for me. The more I traveled the more I realized that the world really isn't that big and scary, that we are all the same in a lot of ways and that our differences are to not only be "accepted" but to be celebrated.
