This is such a great way to restore trust in random strangers, only to find out you have alot in common and hopefully find a lifelong friend in the end! There is so much I don't know about countries, cities and people that I can only experience fully by meeting and getting to know residence of places I dream of visiting.
I received a scratch-off map as a gift a couple years ago right before I went on a big backpacking trip. My goal is to scratch off as much as I can and meet as many of you as possible.
As much as I'd love to stay at hostels and Airbnb's, I'd rather spend that money on activities, exotic meals, and traveling to more countries.
