About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore, experience, and learn as much as possible.

ABOUT ME

I recently graduated from law school and moved up to Seattle, WA. My girlfriend and I both try to travel as much as possible and have been lucky enough to study both domestically and abroad. When we aren't traveling we usually spend our time cooking, reading, visiting local breweries, or planning our next adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

"A ship in a harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never hosted a Couchsurfer before due to a lack of enthusiasm by my former roommates. However my girlfriend has both hosted and surfed herself. We now reside together and are happy to open our home to anyone interested in visiting!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Movie: Shawshank Redemption
Favorite Band: Simon and Garfunkel
Favorite Book: East of Eden

I appreciate just about every type of music (and I have a weakness for Seattle underground hip hop).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of the best things in life are simple. One of my favorite days in Botswana I spent hiking through the hills of Manyana Village with African beer and cold apples. I then climbed to the top of a water tower to watch the sunset, and finished up the day by finding my way home in the dark, then curling up with my host family to watch a futball match.

On a safari in Chobe National Park I floated in a river boat among crocodiles and hippos, then drifted through hundreds of swimming elephants. I finished up the day watching the sun set over the reserve.

Teach, Learn, Share

I dabble in photography and would be happy to chat about the art with anyone else who is interested (I also have a lot to learn!).

For those interested in food and breweries I'd love to take you to some local restaurants and brew pubs where we can explore all Seattle has to offer. Anyone interested in cooking is welcome in our kitchen!

Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Ecuador, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe
