About a year and a half ago, I took my first trip out of the States. That trip to Taiwan really changed my life and made me realize how interested I am in different cultures. Ever since, I have been fortunate enough to study in Hong Kong for a semester, live in Beijing for two months, and I am currently studying in Qatar for this semester.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I think the best way to know a place is to live there for a couple months and to get to know those that live there. While I can't spend that much time in every location, couchsurfing gives me an opportunity to experience a place from the eyes of local people. Really the best way to go about it and loads better than just going to the sites you see online. Also a good way to find others who have the same international interest you do.
