My name is Kieran and I prefer personal introductions. I come from New Zealand, but am living in France at the moment.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be happy to host when I ever actually have a couch to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed while travelling in Europe, and with all the hospitality I have received I'm very happy to return some.

I have hosted a few people while living in Graz, Austria, and used to go to CS meetings regularly there as well as in Perth, Australia.

I used to use CouchSurfing alot more when I was in Europe 5-6 years ago, and had a fantastic time doing so. Now I am back in Europe again I hope to get back into the spirit of it. : )

Intereses

The wind on my face, long walks in the woods and hills. A long morning with a book. Travelling by train and watching the world go by. Swimming and kayaking.

And as well, despite many stereotypically 'introverted' or solo interests, I do like like going out and having a few drinks with friends or other Couchsurfers as well. ;)

Algo increíble que he hecho

I walked the Camino de Santiago all the way from St. Jean Pied-de-Port in France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, and then on to the coast, over five weeks last September-October. That was a great experience, and I would love to do another pilgrimage/long distance walk again.

Otherwise.... skiing in Austria, as well as living in Austria as an exchange student. Living on the tiny Pacific atoll Niue, and especially snorkelling there. Hiking in the mountains New Zealand (Central Otago the most beautiful region!). Hiking in the jungle of Malaysia. Sailing in Croatia, and while there skinny dipping at midnight under a perfect starry sky in water which sparkled with phosphorous as if the water too was full of stars.

I'm a good cook, and good at drawing, if you're interested in either of those things. I can help out with English and German as well.
