Gather knowledge and skills for off-grid living
Grew up on the East Coast, but through a series of random events have now found myself living in Ottawa this year :P I'm working part-time as a PSW, and spending the rest of my time working on farms and cabins, trying to learn as much about permaculture and off-the-grid living as possible! I'd love to get my own homestead on the go in a few years so that's definitely a passion of mine at the moment and a big part of my life.
I rent out the main floor of a house with 2 friends, and we are all very excited to get some hosting on the go this year in our new spot! :)
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first got involved as a host while going to school in Truro, NS. It's a small town... full of the same kinds of people... and just generally not a lot going on. So couchsurfing was an AWESOME way to bring a little excitement to my summers there! And I've been hosting ever since.
Plants, agriculture, permaculture, urban gardening, environmental sustainability, alternative healing practices, social justice, literature, music, jamming, yoga, gardening, food preservation, local grassroots movements! my right to dissent. traveling! busking, slack-lining, hula hooping! cycling. house shows, dumpster-diving, community :)
