Hi! I'm Keeta and this is my gap year. I have recently finished high school and rather than go to university I have chosen to embark on an adventure. I am spending 5 months in Southern Africa and then continuing on to spend 2 months in Italy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is not just about seeing the best tourist sites and taking the best photos, it's about understanding the way of life in each country. I'm on couchsurfing so I can understand the Italian life style, I can grow my knowledge of the countries history and to improve my Italian.

Interests

I play softball along with all of my family. Softball has been a huge part of my life as even before I played softball, every weekend I would go to the park with my parents and catch up with the rest of my family. I also play guitar and drums, I hike and mountain bike as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music is Sia, Rihanna and Hozier. Along with less main stream artists suck as The Civil Wars, John Butler Trio and Johnnyswim, but ofcourse, these are constantly changing. My favourite movies would have to be Moonrise Kingdom, Song Street and Me, Earl and the Dying girl. And, lastly my favourite book would have to be The secret History by Donna Tartt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching 60 10 year olds by myself for a month.
