Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music I keep a lot of 00s indies close to my heart - Bloc Party, The Decemberists, Death Cab For Cutie. These days I’m a lot more electro-pop oriented - I’ll jam along to anything that gets my foot tapping.

I love most all movies other than horror (my bar for enjoying movies is pretty low), but I’ve got a special place in my heart for sci-fi like Blade Runner, Arrival, and Ex Machina. My favourite film of all time is Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.

I don’t read nearly as much as I ought to these days, but some of my favourite fiction authors are Haruki Murakami and Neil Gaiman. I’ve more or less replaced books with podcasts in my day-to-day life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It’s the most common thing in the world to Singaporean guys but non-Singaporeans always seem rather fascinated with my time in the military doing National Service as an infantryman for two years.

My trade is in web development so if you need to figure out how to design or develop a website or an app I’ve got some experience in that. I’ve also been a hobbyist musician for quite some time so if you want to jam I’m in! I can also weigh in on most issues musical from how to play instruments to recording and music production.
