About Me
I always wanted to be a writer. In the meantime, I became a comic shop clerk, a barista, a projectionist, and an audio/video editor. Now that I'm in my mid-30s, I think I've finally got the discipline to make this writing thing happen. That's also a fancy way of saying that I quit my job so I could move to Vancouver and spend all day writing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In 2005, I moved from Fredericton, NB to Vancouver. From there I moved to New York, then Toronto. After ten years, I'm finally heading back to Vancouver, because it was my favorite of those cities.
My plan was to use airbnb while I looked for an apartment. But I've never had a credit card, and without that I'm not able to pay for accommodations. So that led me to CouchSurfing. It turns out, it's difficult to pay for a place, but much easier to stay somewhere for free. These are some weird, but cool times we're living in.
Interests
Writing a novel is really, really tough. So I'm starting with something easier -- I'm writing a book about a video game. It's about the Playstation game The Last Of Us. I'm going to release it for free, and it's about 90% done. I've learned that even a book about a video game is hard to write, but I'm getting there.
I've also been getting back into watching professional wrestling lately. Don't I have any highbrow hobbies? I must have at least one. I'll get back to you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a live-in babysitter for my niece for 8 months! Maybe that doesn't seem so amazing, but as a dude who had no experience with kids, it felt pretty amazing to me. I also made a latte for Ben Affleck once.
