ABOUT ME

I am about to set sail for Sud America. For the next two months I'll be on the road, beginning in Peru, traveling through Bolivia, and then South, South, South. Photography is a passion, as is improving my Spanish. And to make new friends, local to an area, makes all the difference in the world. It would be a pleasure to hear from you.

After graduating from Yale, I set off to become a ski bum. For years, I skied the light, fluffy snow of Utah, until I was introduced to photography. Looking through the lens opened me up to a much larger world and travel became my passion. To be, to see, and reflect the light on film - this is my guiding mantra.

In time, the business of art got the better of me and I began working with experiential education programs, taking youth into the backcountry (i.e. have worked with Outward Bound, among other outdoor organizations.) These expeditions, proved to be some of my most challenging, as many of the kids I worked with had never even been camping. These experiences also proved to be most rewarding.

Currently, I am living in New York City, working on some collaborative projects with film and movement, while also dabbling in real estate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very new to the CS project, but have been hearing great things about it from my brother and his wife. They are currently traveling around the world for a year and have had nothing but amazing experiences through CS. I am looking forward to being apart of this project, both in surfing other people's couch

I am very interested in language exchange, and would love to improve my Spanish while teaching English to others. I have taught English for years, both abroad and at home, and worked with people of all ages...

If you are interested in photography, I can certainly work with you on basic concepts, composition, and anything else regarding light, film, and digital ones and zeros...
