CURRENT MISSION

To see the world and experience all that it is, make friends with total strangers, eat new foods, experience new things, ya know all that travel stuff. I just want to take in as much of God's creation as I can before I kick the bucket.

ABOUT ME

I'm an average guy from Kentucky; though I don't act quite as redneck as my peers, I'm a christian and a lover of knowledge, even though I'm a christian I am not a staunch uber conservative guy, I just try to be like Jesus and love and respect everybody. I have been called an old man on many occasions by many different people, I'm an a old man in that I have an "old soul" I like simple things but also finer luxuries. I like to think I'm easy to get along with, at least no one has told me otherwise.

PHILOSOPHY

Because I am a Christian my faith affects every aspect of my life, my whole purpose in life is to "Glorify God and enjoy Him forever." I believe that life is a gift from God and half of the point is to enjoy it! I think that everyone is created in God's image and this gives everyone common ground and makes us all equal, regardless of financial or social differences. I think that God has given me the capacity to learn so that I can better understand the world and the things in it but more importantly to make an impact in the lives of the people in it.
If half of life is enjoyment then the other half is glorifying God and I feel that the best way to do that is by helping people, practically by helping with their physical need but also spiritually by connecting with them and fellow shipping with them.

Seeing as how I live with my parents I wont be able to be much of a host, but I'm down for hanging out if I'm able and I'm really looking forward to traveling.

Too many artists to list in regards to music, I will listen to anything at least once,
Movies... Fight Club, Lawrence of Arabia, The Goonies, Up!, Rear Window, Hugo, Good Fellas, Ya know pretty much anything.
Books... Again all sorts, I love anything C.S. Lewis wrote, The Wind in the Willows is my favourite, The Bible, Walden, I'm currently reading Teddy Roosevelt's autobiography and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Perhaps the most amazing thing that I have seen is the way blackbirds fly over a slough on a cold winter morning, I mean they all fly in a group that moves and turns in the air like a school of fish, I just find it utterly fascinating how they do that.

I have a little bit experience with residential electrical work, I'm a certified refrigeration technician, and I used to work at a tire and lube shop so I know a little bit about that stuff. I also have the knowledge from my life's experiences.
Something I really want to learn about is you, ya know, you are a far more interesting person than I am and I want to learn all the lessons and anecdotes that you have to teach.
