About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Adventure and discovery of our wide world.

ABOUT ME

Well i guess it's only fair to keep it short and sweet. I'm an easy going guy who loves everything to do with fun adventure travel and music. Wether it be scaling a mountain, riding motorbikes through Vietnam or surfing the best coastline Australia has to offer, i'm there! At the end of the day i love nothing more than meeting people from all walks of life and cultures from all over the world and swapping stories or jokes from home or travel. I can enjoy both company or solitude. After all, there's nothing like sitting down with your guitar and a beer...

PHILOSOPHY

If your not going to go all the way, why go at all?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

However i can...Wether I'm hosting or surfing I will do my part. I am soon to be traveling and not really sure what I'm going to be doing or exactly where i might end up but that's half the fun. If I am at home or close to home i would love to host people anytime. I am more than happy to show people around and take them to some of the cooler places perhaps not often seen by many visiting travellers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well i've had plenty of couch-surfing experience but not through this organisation...usually of my own accord or through just meeting people on the road. However, i have many friends who recommended joining in so here i am.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My house-mate and I were in Cambodia and ended up walking for hours outside of the town where we were staying. We ended up on this path that took us through some of the most intense jungle and forests i've ever seen. There were land-mine craters scattered along the side of the path we were on and we weren't sure what to do. We slowly and carefully continued along the track for many hours and came across some locals and a little school tucked far away from anything...all the children came running out and were amazed when they saw us. I don't think they'd seen foreign travelers before. They gave us "high fives" and hugs. It was truly amazing. We continued along the path picking random turn offs along the way and feeling completely lost. Only to find that to our good fortune, the track we picked ended up leading us back to the town we were staying in...Absolutely amazing and not recommended by lonely planet. But then again, neither was taking a speed boat down the Mekong and crossing the border into Cambodia after the checkpoint had closed...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, music (guitar, bass, drums and more)...you tell me what you want to know and I'll be happy to help.
As for me, I want to know more and understand about different cultures, languages and anything that could possibly be of value or use...
I think everyone has something to offer and that we can all learn something from each other.
