Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to meet random people that may or may not be like me and get to know them while traveling. I seek to awaken myself through other people.
😃
ABOUT ME
I strive to maintain a youthful mentality. I like doing physical things and won't hesitate to be silly, though I can be a little shy at first. 😜 I like running, biking, kayaking, and car camping and long-distance back country hiking. I like rendezvousing with people while they are on adventures. I have grandparents from different countries and became enamored by the idea of foreign travel early on.
I enjoy being a part of visitors' experiences in Detroit and seeing how everything is revitalizing, first hand.
PHILOSOPHY
I didn't always think this way, but I am increasingly understanding that I create my own reality. I try to focus on the positive aspects of everything and it seems to serve me quite well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I ❤ couchsurfers
I first discovered CS while living in Mexico City in 2011. I've met so many amazing couchsurfers. So far, I have mostly been a host. I often brag to everyone about how awesome it is to host traveling strangers in my home. Those that don't do it are missing out in life!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of different types of music, including pop, electronic and instrumental covers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (2,185 miles) over 6 months. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and it changed my life in a positive way. I did it on my own but I met some really awesome people from around the world and U.S. It is a way of life that I discovered and I go back to it a couple times a year. Along the way, I met many loving and generous strangers that opened up their homes to me and inspired me to be that type of CS host.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have learned a lot of home renovation skills over the years. I can show you how to drywall, install new windows, flooring, strip old wood, and anything electrical!
I can also show you all the gear you would need for a long-distance hike
I can guide a yoga session but I’ve never done it formally
As a host, I enjoy cooking for guests
