About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world

ABOUT ME

I graduated University almost two years ago and started planning a trip to Southeast Asia (which I am currently on!) I'm loving being away but I also adore where I live and love sharing it with people. I like to think that I'm an open-minded and open-hearted person and I try to do my best at whatever task I take on. I will be returning to school to get my Early Childhood Education diploma in the next year or so and I can't wait!

PHILOSOPHY

You only get one life, so live it in a way that makes you happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My sister and I have hosted many guests from around the world, usually for weekend trips and we will be on the hunt for couches ourselves while we are in Southeast Asia.

Interests

I love local music and performing arts. Vancouver Island is a hub of great talent. I am also involved in dragon boating during the spring and summer. It is a great team sport that has several race events throughout the summer. Of course, I am also interested in travel. I have been to various parts of the United States, as well as Costa Rica.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy alternative rock, folk, progressive rock, hip hop, some pop and electro, classic rock... Anything really depending on my mood... I enjoy documentaries, comedies, and historical dramas and as far as books go, I am currently going through a Terry Pratchett phase, but I also love Mary Roach in the non-fiction category.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have experienced the bright lights of Las Vegas, seen volcanoes, monkeys, sloths, and crocodiles, and zipped through the jungle in Costa Rica, and witnessed grey whale migrations off the Alaskan coast. The best is yet to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

If anyone wants to learn how to dragon boat, I was a coach for three years and love to share this sport!
