ABOUT ME

[[Writer's Block]] My previous description failed to really describe me, so I'd like to rewrite it, but honestly, that seems like the hardest thing in the world to do right now.

I'm a lucky person. That's something worth knowing.

I took a trip to Mexico after college to study Spanish, and wound up moving there, living the plot of a Doris Day movie in San Cristobal de las Casas. After that, I lived in Chicago for a few years, leading the life of a very small fish.

Now I'm back in Kansas, living in the Lawrence bubble, and thoroughly enjoying it so far. I get to drive through the countryside to visit family members, and sometimes, I feel very blessed to have gotten the kind of eyes that can appreciate the simple beauty of this part of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to think of what the cool character in my novel (figurative--I'm not really writing a novel) would do, and mimic that behavior as closely as possible.

I am a regular participator in the Lawrence, KS group's bi-weekly meet-ups, and you should be too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I crash with friends constantly while traveling, but so far, I haven't hosted a couchsurfer, and I haven't surfed. I did enjoy the Chicago 2009 tent-surf quite a bit, though.

I'm looking forward to future travels. My life is suddenly lacking in adventure these days (I blame my job).
