About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To look up @ the sky each day and smile bc this earth is a beautiful place :)

ABOUT ME

I am the type of person that is always laughing and smiling, it's hard for me to be serious! I'm a goofball @ heart and I love being around people.

I was born and raised here in San Diego, where I currently still live (it's a hard place to leave!), but my roots began in Ireland. My Great Grandparents are from County Cork and Donegal and I've been to Ireland twice now (summer 2010 and 2011!) and plan on going back as soon as my bank account permits!

I'm very laid back and I can usually have fun no matter where I am or what I'm doing. Also, last but not least, I'm a Christian, I love God and I love having faith! I have friends from all walks of life and friends of different faiths as well. I look forward to meeting some awesome people via CS soon!

Thanks for reading, have a blessed day :)

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others like you would like to be treated, plain and simple! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met some pretty amazing people on CS! I have surfed and gone to a few events and even have met people from different CS groups! I can't currently host here in San Diego, but I'm totally up for meeting for coffee or showing any CS'ers around SD!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up with 2 very cool couchsurfers while I was in Dublin in 2010..fun times! :)

Surfed with Alan and Donal in Tallaght (Dublin, 2011) 1st time I actually surfed and it was amazing!

Met up with Aidan during my last few days in Ireland and had some great times too! :)

Met a few people @ a CS picnic in Dublin

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-I love, love, LOVE all kinds of music, especially live music!

Movies-I like them, but don't usually take the time to watch many. I like any movies based on true stories, WWII movies, comedies and yes, Disney movies (not gonna lie!)

Books-I can't remember all the names of the books I've read but I love the authors: Lee Strobel, Oscar Wilde, Nicholas Sparks, JD Salinger, Gary Paulsen, Max Lucado, Federico Garcia Lorca, Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Octavio Paz, Pablo Neruda... (can you tell I took several Spanish/Latin literature classes in college?)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ireland. All of it. Summer 2010 and summer 2011 too!!! I had to go back..it was just that amazing!

Cataratas de la Paz (waterfalls) in Costa Rica, summer 2007 when I was studying there. WOW, it was breath-taking!

The love of my students that have Autism..their love for me is truly unconditional.

Mission Trips to Mexico, building houses and meeting some awesome people!

Sharing God's love with people of all different ages, colors and walks of life!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Well I teach as a profession so..Spanish (all levels), English, History...almost any subject you took in Elementary-High School I could probably teach you..minus hard math stuff :) Oh, and I know a little bit of Latin Dancing, not an expert by any means though!

Learn: Teach me to cook! I can cook some awesome Mexican/Latin food and some basic American food, but definitely would love to learn more. Teach me any language..I'm a language teacher and love learning new languages!

Share: Life stories, pictures, dreams, hopes..anything! I'm a talker for sure, but a great listener too :)

Life is a continual process of teaching, learning and sharing..isn't it?
